Funerals at St. John the Baptist Parish

The St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish’s Pastoral Team is praying for you and your loved one who has passed away. We know this is a fast-moving, emotional time in which your family needs to make a lot of decisions quickly. The funeral home you are working with should have contacted our Facilitator of Pastoral Ministry & Spiritual Growth, about holding your loved one’s funeral at St. John’s. Dates and times were probably discussed and even scheduled. We will contact you for next steps. If you haven’t heard from us by the time you are reading this, please contact us directly at 920-434-2145, ext. 209. Please do not call the parish office or the priest.

If your loved one is a parishioner, please inquire whether you loved one has a Funeral Liturgy plan on file with us. That plan can save you and your loved ones a lot of difficult decisions. If there isn’t a plan on file, please do not worry. Our Pastoral Team will meet with you either way to create a liturgy that helps you say goodbye to your loved one by honoring your and your loved one’s wishes.

May God bless you abundantly during this difficult time.

Preplanning

Next group sessions: April 2026, October 2026

This is truly a gift for your family! With so many quick decisions to make, this enables your family to be together during this difficult time.

AND, you can choose readings/songs that are special to YOU.

The Pastoral Team holds two events a year to help you preplan your funeral liturgy. During our time together we look at the logistics of the funeral Mass (anything that happens at church), Scripture readings and songs. Materials are provided for you to fill out or you can take them home. We do ask you to submit a copy of your funeral plan to the office when finished.

Date & Time of Funerals

St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish is a vibrant and active community, and certain parish events may affect available dates and times for funeral services. We are committed to working closely with your family and will make every effort to accommodate your needs, ensuring a meaningful and reverent celebration of your loved one’s life.
