  • Catholic Schools Week

    Saturday Feb 1, 2020 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM

Catholic Schools Week is a celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It has been an annual celebration since 1974. Catholic Schools Week always starts on the last Sunday in January. There are many activities throughout the week that focus on the value of Catholic education as well as show gratitude for all of the people in our community who help make St. John the Baptist School a great place to be. We will be starting off the week with a school-wide open house. We would love to see every family in the community at our open house! In addition to our open house, registration for the 2020-21 school year will start for all families.

WHAT: The Catholic Church has traditionally embraced art as a way to illustrate God's dream for the world. Taking time to ponder a good work of art can connect us to our senses, intellect, and heart...and such an encounter and connection can excite critical thinking, enthusiastic engagement and mindful action toward justice and compassion. This is why ART, in tandem with faith, hope, and love; has the power to change the world.
